How to Check Your Credit Report
It is very important to keep a close eye on your credit report, with all the fraud and other security incidents that have been going on. Each consumer is allowed to get a free report once a year from the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies—Equifax®, Experian®, and TransUnion®. After you get the report, check it for mistakes, such as wrong personal information, accounts you don’t recognize, closed loans that show as open, etc. Fixing an error in a timely manner is crucial, before it can damage you more and more.
